name for this blog.

i never revealed where i came up with the name "bloggibindoggins" and i thought it may be nice to reveal its source. if you remember the 1977 spoof of "star wars" called "hardware wars" then you may remember that there was a character on there named, "augie ben doggie" who was the "hardware wars" version of "obi-wan kenobi." while in iowa city, IA, wendy and i met a pharmacology student (i believe from india?) who went by the name of "nog." we always wanted to call him "noggibindoggins" for "hardware war" reasons, and so when it came time to start this blog...i suppose it was obvious what to call it. it's weird to think that i was two years old when these movies came out. maybe i'm a star wars geek afterall. i still don't know what to think of the slicker "new" versions of the original three. i kinda like the idea that someone could've made the effects in a garage instead of in a superdooper computer program.
