weird spam in my comments.

i'm about to have to block all comments due to weird spam showing up.... it's disappointing b/c you think to yourself, "hey, someone is reading this and has something to say!" only to get some link to viagra or all russian script that's unreadable (by my english eyes). or better yet a "hey, i like your blog and here's my random link to my site" self-promotion type of thing. i usually only post links to friends' (or at least people i've met or emailed) sites that i like. so don't bother w/ selling me viagra or some other crazy scheme. please find something else to do.

so, i turned on a few things to reduce the amount of crap i get in my comments fields and i apologize to you guys who regularly comment (b/c now there will be an additional step. sorry.
